The weather is starting to get warmer and the urge to get outside is getting stronger. Today I am sharing 5 ways to get active this spring/summer.
5 Ways To Get Active:
Take Your Dogs For A Walk //
Don’t forget about your pets as the spring air gets warmer and warmer. Your poor pets have been cooped up inside the tough winter too and they are dying to get out and run. I’ve noticed this with our puppy, Tucker. His behavior has gotten worse as cabin fever has set in to him. While Ohio doesn’t seem to be cooperating much, we’ve been letting him out on his lead and getting some extra rays of sun. Getting him out and active is high on our priority list because his health is just as important as ours.
Go Hiking //
What better way to get out and get active then by going on an adventure through the woods. In the past year, Brad and I have discovered that we really enjoy hiking. From hiking through the Smokey Mountains to hiking in St. Lucia, hitting the trails is something that we both enjoy doing. There’s nothing like the burn in your calves from the steep inclines and enjoying the serene beauty of the outdoors. Find your nearest trail, lace up your shoes, and go take a hike!
Get On The Water //
Getting on the water is a perfect way to enjoy the nice weather and increasing temps. There are lots you can do on the water such as canoe, kayak, paddle board, go jet skiing, water skiing, and more! I’d love to own a kayak and spend my Saturday mornings on our lake!
Try Something New //
Summer is getting closer so why not try to tone up before bikini season officially starts. Try taking a new fitness class such as yoga, Barre, HIIT training, spinning, or any other class that interests you. Not worried about getting your bikini body? Good for you! Try taking a class just to improve your overall health.
Change Your Parking Spot //
This just might be the perfect way to get those extra steps in this spring/summer. Rather than parking right outside the front door of your work, grocery store, restaurant, or wherever you may be going, try parking further away. This will allow you to soak in some extra sun and get some more exercise in. I love parking way out for multiple reasons such as my car is less likely to get a door ding, I can enjoy the sun, take in the scenery, and break a little bit of a sweat.
While the weather is getting warmer, it’s even more important to keep yourself hydrated this spring/summer. Hidrate Spark’s smart water bottle is the perfect way to remember to drink your water. Not only is Hidrate Spark super cute but it reminds you to drink your water. The smart water bottle tracks your water intake and links up to the Hydration app and can sync to your FitBit, Apple Watch, and more. Worried about not remembering to drink your water? Don’t worry! Hidrate Spark will blink when you need to drink more water. How cool is that?!
