Valentine’s Day is 4 days away. Boy, time is really flying by! Today I’ve created a super fun list of 6 different dates to go on this Valentine’s Day. These dates are perfect for the weekend or perfect for a quick week night date.
6 Dates To Go On This Valentine’s Day:
Indoor Picnic // The weather in February depending on where you live can be pretty chilly. Rather than go to your local park, have an at home picnic. Move your furniture, lay out a blanket, light candles, pack your food in a picnic basket, and enjoy on your floor. While you are eating, tell stories from childhood. This is a great way to learn more about each other and share a few laughs.
Role Play // Now, now get your head out of the bedroom. Both of you get dressed up and head to a local bar, obviously arrive separately. When you get there, pretend that you don’t know each other. Play around and have one of you try to pick the other up. Create fun names, careers, and hobbies. You obviously have to use super cheesy pick up lines. Have fun!
Scavenger Hunt // Go on a scavenger hunt around your city. To do this, wrap small presents and leave the gifts at various places around town. With each present leave a clue to the next location. This is a great way to explore your town with your significant other. If driving is involved, create a killer mix cd, #throwback, with songs that remind you of each other. The other options is that you can play the radio game. The radio game, in case you don’t know, seek through stations and try to guess the song or who sings it before the other.
Wine and Dine // Treat yo’ selves. Get dressed up in some gorgeous formal wear and make reservations to a restaurant that you would not normally go to. Splurge and get a bottle of wine to share. While you are indulging, reminisce on memories from your relationship, thank each other for being supportive and loving you, and tell each other what you love about the other.
Recreate Your First Date // For those who have been together for quite a few years, this date idea is perfect for you! How fun would it be to recreate your first date. This is obviously going to be different for each person. Be sure to take a picture so you can compare and contrast how much you have changed over the years!
Relaxing Night At Home // Rather than going out, why not stay home and relax. Head to the local movie store, rent a couple of movies and make dinner together (or order take-out). During the movie, cuddle together on the couch under a blanket with candles lit. After the first movie, give each other a massage. Everyone can use a massage and what better way to save money, then by giving at-home massages. Remember, this is a date. Be sure to turn off your cell phone and do not be working on any housework like laundry, cleaning, dishes (those can wait).

Valentine’s Day is special to me. While most believe that it is just a “Hallmark holiday”, I like to think of it as a way to spoil your significant other. Brad and I try to make time to go on dates but #lifehappens so we like to use any chance we can get to go out, get cleaned up, and have some fun. I hope you enjoyed these 6 dates to go on this Valentine’s Day.
