As you all know, I AM OBSESSED WITH FALL. From the changing of leaves, to the crisp weather, to the comfort foods, to the pumpkin everything, I love it all. There is so much to see and do in the fall. The term “basic” comes to mind when I think about all things that I love about fall. Brad knows that from mid-August to November, pumpkin desserts and Autumn scents will consume our home. He laughs at me whenever I pick up another fall decoration or fall scented candle. While I love fall so much, I love spending it with Brad. Here are 8 fall date ideas that you need to go on this season with your significant others.
Fall Date Ideas:
Apple & Pumpkin Picking //
This is as fall as it gets. Be sure to visit a local orchard or pumpkin farm to pick your own apples and pumpkins. Not only is it fun to spend time with your significant other, but it is super fun to go home to bake your fresh picked apples. Don’t forget to display your pumpkins all over your house and on your front porch.
Enjoying The Scenery //
One of my favorite ways to enjoy the fall season is by enjoying the scenery. Brad and I will get in the car and drive through the country admiring the beautiful fall colors. Another way to enjoy the scenery is to grab your dogs and head to a local park. The wooded trails are so lovely in the fall. This is a great way to get out and get active while enjoying the changing of leaves.
Craft Beer + Carving Pumpkins //
This is such a fun fall date idea. Order a pizza and before you get it head to the local liquor store/craft beer store. Each of you pick out seasonal beers such as ciders, pumpkin, and other fall flavored beers. Some of our favorites are Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Wheat, New Belgium Pumpkick, Angry Orchard, and all of the Ciderboys beers.
Scary Movie-A-Thon //
This is a no brainer. With fall comes Halloween which brings scary movies. This year, Brad and I decided to have a date night every night. Each evening in October, we have been watching a scary/horror/thriller movie. It’s such a fun way to enjoy Halloween and spend time with your significant other. Some of our favorites are: Silence of the Lamb, The Reaping, Zodiac, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, just to name a few. Hulu and Netflix have a great selection but if you are looking for good movies, definitely head to your local movie rental store.
Go Tailgating //
Fall = football! Head to your local college down and enjoy tailgating with your significant other. Most men love a good football game and being surrounded with other fans. Your man will love you so much if you recommend going tailgating. Be sure to get dressed in your team’s best and have fun with your man!
Cuddle By A Bonfire //
Crisp weather calls for cuddles. Why not take the cuddling outside? Before you put away your fire pit for the season, light a fire, buy stuff for s’mores, grab a blanket, and cuddle with your loved one under the sky. This is a such a peaceful and intimate date night. Limiting technology allows for open conversation and relaxation.
Watch A High School Football Game //
This date is just a little different than going tailgating because you are supporting your town. I love going to our high school football games with Brad. It’s a great way to see the community come together while supporting high school athletes.
Celebrate Oktoberfest //
While I realize October is halfway over, here is a great cultural fall date idea. If you have the opportunity to go to an Oktoberfest festival, do it! We went to one a couple weeks ago and it was so much fun! From the hot potato salad, to the lederhosen, to the beer, and events, you’re bound to have a great time. If you’ve missed the Oktoberfest festivals near you, keep them in mind for next year!
There are so many fall date ideas that you can go on. These are just a few of our favorites. Fall weather doesn’t last long, so be sure to dress for the weather and enjoy every minute of it.
