Happy August, Loves! I cannot believe this month is upon us already! This year is flying by and I don’t even feel like we have had a summer. Before we know it Christmas will be here, then the New Year, and then our wedding day will be here! Ahh it’s so crazy! There are only 263 days until Brad and I say I do!! It might seem like quite a few but the days are flying by and there are still so many things to do.
Brad and I got engaged on June 12 on our vacation to Myrtle Beach. Since then, I have asked my bridesmaids to be a part of my #BrideTribe, booked our venue, scheduled our band, reserved the church, and got our engagement photos taken. Coming soon to the blog how to pick out your band, our venue, and our engagement photos! While we have gotten a bunch of the big things done, I took July off to enjoy summer and our engagement. With the new month, comes a whole new list of things that I need to get done.
Reserve a block of hotel rooms.
Brad and I are getting married in the town where I live and most of our guests will have to drive at least an hour away. Since there will be alcohol at our reception, I need to make sure that we have plenty of rooms for those who choose to drive and cannot get home.
Determine our wedding decor.
Right now so many things are on sale since we are going into fall. My mom and I have been pinning away trying to get ideas of what exactly we should get and where it should go. Currently, we are loving the look of mercury vases and milk glass. I’ll be sharing some fun wedding inspiration soon!
Talk to a florist.
This goes a long with the decor. it’s time to start pricing how much flowers are going to cost, what kind of boutineers and bouquets we will use, plus all of the flowers we will use to decorate.
Pick out our engagement photos & order save the dates.
Brad and I got our engagement photos taken in the middle of July. Our photographer said it should take him about 4 weeks to edit all of them. I can’t wait to share our pictures with you all! In our hour and a half shoot, Brad and I managed to take 600 photos! I can’t believe it was that many! Once we decide on what picture we want, Brad and I will have to design our save the dates and get them ordered. Our goal is to get them out by October!
