Happy Tuesday!! Can you believe Independence Day is just next week? I know I sure can’t! This summer is flying by and I’m trying to soak it all in before fall comes. The weather in Ohio has been super random, with days in the 90s than days in the low 70s. Hopefully with the start of July, the weather will start feeling more like summer. In honor of the 4th of July being around the corner, I’ve created a fun post on how to celebrate Independence Day, plus some cute outfit inspiration. What are you waiting for, grab some sweet tea and read on!
How To Celebrate Independence Day:
Head to A Baseball Game //
Going to a baseball game is one of the best ways to celebrate Independence Day. Not only is going to a baseball game fun and enjoyable but it screams being an American. Be sure to check local schedules to ensure that your team is playing at home. Some teams might not be playing on the 4th so be sure to head to a game during the weekend! Have fun singing ‘Take Me Out To The Ball Game’ during the 7th inning stretch, eating ball park franks, and snacking on peanuts and cracker jacks!
Get Out On The Water //
Typically the 4th of July is hot, so get out on the water. Find a group of friends and head to a local lake. Many lakes have bars with entertainment. If you’re in Ohio, head to Grand Lake and let me know you’re here! If you don’t have a lake near by, head to your town’s pool or friends’ pool. Getting out into the water and enjoying the sunshine is a great way to celebrate America’s Independence.
Eat Ice Cream & Apple Pie //
Hello, can you get anymore American than ice cream and apple pie? I think this activity speaks for itself.
Have fun at a Festival //
We are very fortunate to live in a town that has festivals all summer long. There are so many towns that host parades and festivals that you should definitely think about attending. Not only festivals fun, but they are a great way to meet other people from your town.
Watch Fireworks //
Grab a blanket, radio, and head to a field to watch your local fireworks. Fireworks are the perfect way to celebrate America’s Independence. There’s just something so magical about watching beautiful explosions. Not only are the fireworks great, but listening to the Star Spangled Banner while watching fireworks is the most beautiful experience.
Host A BBQ //
Before you head to a festival or a firework show, invite all of your friends and family over for a barbecue. Throw some burgers on the grill, slice the watermelon, dive into assorted salads, and devour tasty strawberry pie. Hosting a barbecue is not only fun but can be done quickly, especially with these barbecue party tips.
