Halloween is eleven days away! ELEVEN! Do you have your costume figured out? If not, don’t worry, I’m here to help! While we know longer go to Halloween parties, Brad and I make sure to pass out candy every year for our town’s Trick-Or-Treat night. This has been such a fun tradition that we both look forward to. A few nights before, the two of us head to the store to buy lots of tasty candy for our cute little Trick-Or-Treaters. On the day of, I prepare a huge pot of chili and some kind of pumpkin dessert and then the fun begins. I start to get ready. Yes, I get ready for Trick-Or-Treat. I love creating a Halloween costume from scratch. Today I’m going to share with you a quick DIY Halloween costume that you can create on your own with clothes in your closet and makeup in your collection.
Face // SeneGence Foundation in Dewy, Copper Rose ShadowSense, Toasted Rose BlushSense, Onyx ShadowSense, and Snow ShadowSense.
Eyes // Candlelight ShadowSense, Mocha Java ShadowSense, Garnet ShadowSense, Onyx ShadowSense, Black LashSense with UnderSense
Brows // Mocha Java ShadowSense
Lips // Blackberry LipSense and Dark Pink LipSense
Start with a clean face and then apply your foundation. Once you have your foundation applied, create an oval shape around your eyes with the Snow ShadowSense. This will help create the lighter look around your eyes. Next, start building the tanner elements to your face, which is similar to a contour. Use Copper Rose ShadowSense. Add a little Toasted Rose ShadowSense for a more feminine deer. Once your face is done, focus on the white dots. I used the circular end of a makeup brush and dipped in our Snow ShadowSense.
After your face is complete, it’s now time to focus on your eyes. Start with Candlelight ShadowSense as a primer on your lids. This is going to help cancel any redness and diminish veins. Then go in with Mocha Java ShadowSense in your crease. Next, apply a little more Candlelight for your lid color. To deepen the eye look, use Garnet ShadowSense in the outer ‘v’. Once your eyes are done, use Onyx ShadowSense to line your eyes. Make sure to do a wing look on the outside and inside. This will help give the almond shape that the deer have. Finally apply UnderSense to help lengthen your lashes. Let completely dry before apply black LashSense.
Now on to the nose. Using Onyx ShadowSense, create the deer nose on the end of your nose. Once you get the nose the way your want it, draw a line connecting your nose to your lips. For your lips, use Blackberry LipSense to capture the deer’s lip. I wanted a girlier deer look, so I opted for Dark Pink LipSense on my lower lip. What’s great about using LipSense, you don’t have to worry about the two colors bleeding together.
How to Style:
Once you have your look created, pair with a tan sweater dress, faux fur vest, and brown booties. For your hair, place in 2 messy bun pigtails, especially if you don’t have antlers.
