Happy August, friends!! It’s been a quick minute since we’ve talked. If you’ve been a reader of ABH for a while, you know that July is typically a month that I have little to no blog posts and this year was the same case. As much as I love July, it’s the busiest month for us from birthdays to festivals to family get togethers and trying to soak in as much Ohio sun as we can and life gets pretty hectic. Today I thought I would do a quick recap of our life lately summer edition.
Lately I’ve been
Watching…Criminal Minds, Big Brother, Ozark, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Planning…content for August and brainstorming ideas for the rest of the year.
Wanting…lots of fall sweaters. I know we aren’t ready for fall but as the seasons get ready to change, I’m busy trying to find new pieces to wear this fall.
Eating…lots of summer salads. I’m so obsessed with cookout food like pasta salad, macaroni salad, and potato salad.
Organizing…my house! I’m so ready to throw out any unnecessary items and really get our house organized.
July in Pictures:
My sister came up and we celebrated the 4th of July by heading to the lake. The three of us went boating, swimming, bar hopping, and listening to bands.
Brad and I took a Saturday off from boating and ended up at a local brewery. It was my first time going there and it is the CUTEST place. The brewery bought an old barn and remodeled the inside while keeping the barn look. The upstairs is full of seating, gorgeous Edison lights, and makes the perfect setting to enjoy a couple of craft beers in.
If you haven’t been on Instagram lately, I chopped my hair off. I’m not really sure how much I cut off but I think it was 6-8 inches. While I was a complete nervous wreck, I’m so obsessed with how it turned out and don’t regret it at all.
After her bridal shower, everyone went home to leave their classy clothes behind and change into their trashiest white trash look.
During the month of July, Brad and I celebrated a couple of date nights during the week. On Wednesdays, a local restaurant had music on their patio. So each Wednesday, we’d get dressed in our date night apparel and head to that restaurant to enjoy good food, cold beer, and great entertainment.
I found this adorable tee and thought it would be perfect for my LipSense business. My husband already calls me the ‘Lip Lady’ so what’s more fitting than this top? Speaking of LipSense, come join my Facebook group where I share makeup looks, games, discounts, and more!
Watching the sunset on the lake is seriously one of my favorite views. Isn’t this just so peaceful and magical?
There is a new boutique and beauty bar that opened in our town. I attended their grand opening event and the boutique is seriously so cute! Be sure to check out Studio H on Facebook and through their site.
Our town had its annual Lake Festival this past weekend. It’s my favorite weekend of the summer as it’s full of shopping, eating, cookouts, water cars, and more!
