Happy 2nd day of 2015 and it is Friday! The last couple days have been fun and relaxing, just what I needed. This week’s Friday Favorites will be sort of a recap/highlights of the last couple of days, along with a couple of things I found this week.
.) On NYE, I only had to work 4.5 hours instead of 9. Woohoo! I love short days. I especially love short days that don’t require a lot of working.
.) After work I ran to Target, aka my favorite store in the world, to try and find some games for Brad and I to play. I had no such luck. Instead of leaving, I ventured over to the book section where I stumbled upon 3 books that I just had to pick up. The Wishing Season, American Sniper, and If I Stay were the three books that made the cut. I also bought these leggings. I had to buy something else to wear because the skirt I ordered for my NYE outfit inspiration was too small.
.) Once I finally made it home, it was time to kick it in gear. I needed to clean up our apartment, make my food for the evening and get ready. While I was busy cooking, Boone and I were jamming out to Pandora and running around singing.
.) Brad got home around 4, he changed and then we were off to the Cheesecake Factory. He had the Chicken Madeira and I had the Crispy Chicken Costoletta with a Lemon Drop Martini. I highly recommend my meal.
.) Our NYE consisted of playing some fun drinking games, sipping on this drink, and watching Scandal. I fell asleep at 10:00 (lame, I know) and we went to bed at 10:30 with an alarm set for 11:55. The alarm went off, we watched the ball drop, gave each other our New Year’s kiss, turned the tv off, and was back asleep before 12:05.
.) New Year’s Day started off with us sleeping in. I made breakfast casserole and mimosas. I had too many mimosas to keep track of. Once brunch was over, I got all of our laundry done so we didn’t have to do it this weekend. After we got everything done we needed to, it was time to lounge around and relax. Which means, I napped and Brad played around with his gun (like usual).
.) Finally, the moment everyone in Ohio has been waiting for. Today is the day The Ohio State University takes on Alabama in the college football playoffs.
.) Here are 21 Things to Stop Caring About in 2015.
