Happy Wednesday! Did you know there are only 11 days until the new year? Uh, hello 2015, where did you go? Like wasn’t it just August? With there only being a few days until the new year, I decided it was time to evaluate what needs to be done before the beginning of 2017. Today’s post is all about how I am preparing for the New Year.
4 Ways I’m Preparing for the New Year:
Conducting A Reader’s Survey.
You, my readers, are extremely important to me. You keep me wanting to work harder and strive for bigger and better things for ABH. In order for me to gauge what you love and dislike, conducting an anonymous reader survey is just what I need. I take into consideration every critique and criticism that is made so I can improve ABH. It would mean the world to me if you would take a couple minutes, no more than 5, to complete this simple 10 question survey.
I’m hoping to finish 2016 strong by hitting another record month of page views, hit 2700 Instagram followers, and 2100 Twitter followers. While I hope to reach my end of the year goals, it’s also important I strive for an even better 2017. I am going to sit down and look at the large picture for 2017 and then break it down into smaller, monthly goals. Goal setting is a great way to motivate yourself to make the most out of your time.
Redesigning A Blissful Haven.
I made the decision early this week to redesign ABH. I cannot wait for you to see what I’ve been working on. The redesign will be live at midnight on Monday, January 2. While there is a lot for me to talk about with this redesign, I’m going to keep my lips sealed so y’all can be surprised on January 2nd! With the redesign will come some changes, that’s why it’s extremely important for me to have a reader’s survey. I don’t want to get rid of anything that is popular and keep something that is unpopular.
Deep Cleaning My House.
What better way to start 2017 then with an extremely clean house? With all of our holiday get-togethers starting the second week of November, taking care of our house is something that has fallen off the to-do list. While we keep things picked up, our house needs a good deep cleaning, especially with having two dogs that shed like crazy. I have the Monday after Christmas off and Brad doesn’t, so I will be taking advantage of my day off and doing some major cleaning. I’ll be jamming out to Pandora’s Summer Hits of the 90s station, rocking the plastic gloves, and scrubbing like a fool.
