Happy Wednesday! Fourth of July is right around the corner. Is anybody else excited for the fireworks, burgers, watermelon, parties, and lots of yard games? I know I sure am! Fourth of July is seriously my favorite holiday. I love that we get to celebrate our country’s independence with friends and family. This post is ideal for anyone who is looking to find the perfect 4th of July outfit featuring one of my favorite trends for the summer.
This red off-the-shoulder dress is perfect for 4th of July because the color really pops! Who doesn’t love to go to a party and stand out? I know I sure do! This color is a really bright red that looks great on anyone. If you aren’t sure if you can rock a red dress, check out my friend Erica’s post on how to feel confident in red. I know that wearing red makes me feel confident and you should definitely give it a try!
This is definitely saying something because I’m a neutral clothes person. I love wearing anything that is black, gray, white, brown or navy. I stick to these colors because they go with everything so when I found this dress, I was really stepping out on a limb. I’m so glad I did and I know that you will be glad too!
While the color makes this dress pop, it’s actually not the number one reason to wear this dress. In my opinion, the number one reason is the off-the-shoulder style of the dress. This trend is perfect for every body type. It makes your arms and shoulders look slimmer and is super stylish. This look will help keep you cool is the sweltering July heat.
What I’m Wearing:
Red Dress // This red dress is from Forever 21. It’s a great material that doesn’t stick to you when you sweat. I wore it when we went to St. Lucia and I’m so glad I packed it. This dress keeps your cool. I am 5’7″ and wearing a medium.
Sandals // These shoes are from Piace Boutique. They do run true to size to a bit small. I wear a size 8.5/9 and ordered an 8.5. I recommend going up a size. Use code: ALEXISD at checkout and save 10%
