Happy Wednesday, loves! I am super excited to share’s today’s post with you. A Blissful Haven will be turning 3 in March. I can’t believe that I’ve been blogging for 3 years already. I’ve learned a lot in those 3 years and still have a lot more to learn. One thing that I have learned in those 3 years is that blogging has become super popular and super competitive over the last couple of years. While it’s hard not to join the competition train, it’s really important that you don’t. When you join that train, all of your reasons why you blog change. Today I am sharing the real reasons why I blog.
Reasons Why I Blog:
To Push Myself Creatively // While I love my job, it does not allow my creativity to flow. Blogging gives me a chance to express my creative side and push me to keep learning. I love the design aspect of blogging like designing images and designing photographs. Blogging also allows me to write. Writing is something that I have always been passionate about. These are just a few ways that blogging pushes me creatively.
To Have An Outlet // Whenever life starts to get crazy, I turn to blogging. My office, where I do my blogging, is my escape. I love to turn on my computer, let my mind go, and just type away. I’m able to forget all of my troubles, at least for a little while. Blogging is my outlet where I can vent or talk about whatever my heart desires.
To Create Friendships // This is my favorite reason why I blog. The friendships that I have made through blogging are some of my dearest relationships. There are so many amazing people who are in the blogging community. They are supportive, funny, and genuine. These people are the people that I want in my life. I am so thankful for the friendships that I have made. I’m very eager to create more friends in the blogging community.
I Don’t Blog to:
Make Money // I discussed this in my 17 in 2017 post. While making extra money is great, it’s not my number one reason why I blog. All of the money that is made through blogging, allows me to update ABH, host giveaways, and pay maintenance fees. I’m not out here trying to get rich by any means.
Get Famous // I’m from Small Town, USA and I’m not out here trying to be the next internet sensation. If that happens, then that’s wonderful but it’s not my main focus by any means. Growing my social media platforms is fantastic but when I have no engagement, that’s where we have a problem.
These are the real reasons why I blog. If you are a blogger, I hope you have the right intentions.
